Velázquez was born from the idea of restoring an emblematic building in Madrid, a palace house from the early 20th century located in one of the most significant areas of the city, in the heart of the Salamanca district, on the corner of Jorge Juan and Velázquez streets.
It is a building marked by its high level of protection, its dome, its brick facade with large glazed galleries and its interior courtyards, which make the building full of light.
The initial concept with which the building was born is recovered. It returns to the stately residential use for which it was designed, adapted to our times, restoring the elements that define it and give it its character, its moldings, floors, carpentry and, most importantly, its original spatial concept. A design as a whole that makes it a reference building in Madrid.
