A pioneering bioclimatic home in residential sustainability in Mexico.

Casa Van D is a residence located in Isla Mujeres that marks a milestone in the country’s sustainable residential architecture, becoming the first home in Mexico to obtain LEED for Homes v3 2009 Gold certification, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The project was developed through comprehensive bioclimatic consulting, meeting the criteria established for passive design, construction processes, operation, maintenance, and building comfort. Every architectural and technical decision was aimed at optimizing environmental performance, the efficient use of resources, and the quality of life of its residents.
