The Banco Santander Building, located in Cancún, was registered under the LEED O+M: Existing Building system and achieved LEED Silver certification, consolidating its environmental performance under international sustainability standards.
The intervention included the adaptation of the building, corporate spaces and offices to recycling policies, sustainable maintenance, responsible purchasing, employee mobility, and efficient water and energy consumption. Native species and environmental improvement strategies aligned with LEED criteria were also incorporated.
The project prioritized conditions that support natural ventilation and daylight, improving user comfort and optimizing the building’s environmental performance.
The result is a building adapted to international sustainability criteria, with processes and strategies that ensure environmental efficiency and long-term performance.
